What each color means
What each color and pattern means at a glance
| Light | What it means | When you'll see it |

| Blinking blue | Ready to pair | After turning Pocket on and it's searching for the app to pair |
| Solid blue | Paired and ready | idle/standby |
| Solid amber | Recording | When you press the side button once or start recording from the app |
| Blinking green | Charging | While connected to power via USB-C |
| Solid green | Fully charged | Stays solid when the battery is full and still on charge |
| Green / Amber / Red (after double-pressing side button) | Battery level | Quick battery check: green = full, amber = about half, red = low |
| Blinking red (during reset flow) | Reset triggered | After triple-press then hold to erase and return to setup or pairing mode |
| Blinking purple | Firmware update | During an update initiated from the app |
| No light | Off or asleep | Pocket is powered off or in sleep |
Interaction lights (everyday use)
- Turn on / off: Hold 5 seconds on the side button.
- Ready to pair: Blinking blue.
- Ready: Solid blue.
- Recording: Solid amber.
Charging and battery
- Charging: Blinking green.
- Fully charged: Solid green.
- Quick battery check: Double-press the side button
- Green = full
- Amber = about half
- Red = low, charge with USB-C
Updates and reset (only if needed)
- Firmware update: LED blinks purple until complete; Pocket restarts automatically.
- Factory reset: Triple-press, wait for red to start blinking, then hold while it blinks to erase and return to setup.
Tips
- If you don't see any light, charge for 10 minutes and try hold 5 seconds again.
- If it stays blinking blue for more than 30 seconds, open the app and start pairing.
