Customize how Pocket recognizes your personal terms and brands
Pocket's AI is powerful, but it might not know every unique name, industry jargon, or brand you use. The Word Dictionary allows you to fine-tune transcription accuracy for your specific needs.
Custom Words
Use Custom Words for terms that Pocket should recognize and keep as-is. This is ideal for:
- Personal Names: Friends, colleagues, or unique surnames.
- Brand Names: Your company name or specialized products.
- Technical Jargon: Industry-specific acronyms or niche terminology.
Adding a custom word helps the AI prioritize that specific spelling when it hears a similar-sounding phonetic match.
Word Corrections
If Pocket consistently mishears a specific word (e.g., hearing "care-oh" instead of "Karo"), you can add a Word Correction.
- Misheard Word: The incorrect word Pocket usually generates.
- Corrected Word: The spelling you want it to use instead.
Pocket will automatically replace these recurring mistakes in future transcriptions.
Limitations
- Recording Length: Dictionary words and corrections are currently applied to recordings under 1 hour in length.
- Processing Time: Updates to your dictionary are applied to future recordings and may not retroactively change existing transcripts.
