Pocket

Tagging and Labels

Organize your recordings and tasks for easy retrieval

Pocket provides two distinct ways to organize your data: Tags for your recordings and Labels for your action items. Understanding the difference helps you keep your digital life perfectly sorted.

Conversation Tags

Tags are used to categorize your recordings. They make it easy to filter your history and provide context to "Ask Pocket."

  • Creating Tags: You can add tags during a recording or while reviewing a summary.
  • Organization: Use tags like #work, #personal, or project names like #apollo.
  • Ask Pocket Integration: You can ask questions like "Show me all decisions from meetings tagged #apollo" to get filtered insights.
  • Auto-Sync: Tags are synced across your devices and stored securely in the cloud.

Action Item Labels

Labels are specifically designed for the Checklist tab. While a tag categorizes a whole conversation, a label categorizes a specific task.

  • Color Coding: Labels are color-coded (e.g., Red for #urgent, Green for #follow-up).
  • Global Management: Manage all your labels in the Checklist settings menu.
  • Filtering: Filter your global task list by label to focus on specific areas of your life.

Management

Editing and Deleting

  • Tags: Manage your tag library in the Global Search or Recording details screens.
  • Labels: Edit label names and colors in the Checklist tab's settings.

Best Practices

  • Be Consistent: Use a fixed set of tags to make searching more effective.
  • Use Colors Strategically: Use bright colors for labels that require immediate attention.
  • Leverage AI: Pocket's AI sometimes suggests tags based on the content of your conversation.
