Enable File System Access in Brave
Turn on Brave's File System Access API flag so Pocket Web Sync can read your Pocket drive
Pocket Web Sync uses the browser's File System Access API to let you choose the Pocket USB drive and sync recordings from it. Brave keeps this API disabled by default, so Web Sync may show:
Your browser does not support the File System Access API.
If you want to use Brave for Pocket Web Sync, enable the Brave flag below and then relaunch the browser.
Enable the Brave flag
- Open a new tab in Brave.
- Go to
brave://flags/#file-system-access-api. - Set File System Access API to Enabled.
- Click Relaunch when Brave prompts you to restart.
- Return to Pocket Web and try Web Sync again.
If Web Sync still does not open the folder picker
- Confirm the page is running in Brave after the relaunch, not in the old browser session.
- Open
brave://flags/#file-system-access-apiagain and make sure the flag is still Enabled. - Disable Brave Shields for
app.heypocket.comif the folder picker still does not appear. - Make sure you are using a USB-C data cable and that Web Sync is enabled in the Pocket mobile app.
If Brave still blocks access, use Chrome or Microsoft Edge for Pocket Web Sync, or use the Pocket desktop app.
